Macrozooplankton of the epipelagic sound-scattering layers in regions of frontal zones of the Central-Eastern AtlanticS. M. Ignatyev Institute of Biology of the Southern Seas, 2 Nahimov Avenue, Sevastopol 99011, Ukraine Summary The sound-scattering layers macro-zooplankton fauna of the Central-Eastern Atlantic (regions of tropical and equatorial frontal zones) is found to contain 85 species. The composition, structure and distribution of the macro-plankton in regions of frontal zones of the Central-Eastern Atlantic are described. The absence of the essential influence on species composition of the macro-plankton is marked. The fauna is uniform in limits of the investigated region. Maximum of the number and biomass of the macro-plankton are near to main frontal zones. Changes of taxonomic (trophic) and size structure under their influences are described.
